The People Group is responsible for building a capable, supported and high-performing workforce that enables ARENA’s mission. Lead by the Chief People Officer, the team oversees the full suite of people functions, performance and development, workforce capability, wellbeing and safety, workforce planning, recruitment, and people systems and analytics, ensuring that ARENA has the talent, culture and frameworks needed to deliver its strategic priorities
About the position
The People Consultant - Learning and Capability partners with leaders, colleagues and subject matter experts to design, enable and manage a contemporary learning and capability ecosystem at ARENA.
The role focuses on learning strategy, solution design, system effectiveness and organisational enablement, rather than ongoing delivery of training programs.

You will bring:
Capabilities and skills

Experience designing learning solutions that support leader‑led and self‑directed development

Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to influence at all levels, raise issues constructively, and foster collaborative and respectful workplace relationships

Analytical mindset with the ability to use learning, workforce and capability data to evaluate impact, inform priorities and guide investment decisions.

Demonstrated experience designing or embedding workforce capability frameworks, career pathways and succession planning approaches in partnership with business leaders
-
Experience managing and optimising learning ecosystems, including digital learning platforms and learning content governance
Technical knowledge and experience

Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning and content creation platforms

Understanding of learning content governance, curation and lifecycle management

Knowledge of adult learning principles and inclusive learning practices
Qualifications (Desirable)

Tertiary qualifications in Learning and Development, Education, HR, Psychology or a related discipline
